Beginner Classes
Our Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Manners classes are Open Enrollment which means that you can start anytime! Each lesson is independent of each other and does not need to be taken in any order. Lessons are offered on a rotating basis and you can take them any day or time that it is offered. Register for the Training Package first, then use your Package Credits to sign up for Orientation first, then each of your lessons. You have 4 months to take all of your lessons.
We use an online portal for class registration:
Puppy Kindergarten
Puppy Kindergarten classes should be started before pups are 16 weeks old, preferably at 10-12 weeks. Teach your pup Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking, No Jumping etc. Orientation and 6 lessons are included in your Puppy Kindergarten course.
Basic Manners
Basic Manners classes are for dogs over 6 months of age at the beginning of classes. Teach your pup Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking, No Jumping etc. Orientation and 6 lessons are included in your Basic Manners course.
Advanced registration is required. Register for your Training Package and use your credits to sign up for Orientation and each of the 6 lessons.
Traditional classes
We occasionally offer traditional, sequential, but shorter classes, like a 4-week class on Loose Leash Walking for example. Other classes include Canine Good Citizen prep, Intermediate Manners, Wag-It Games and Rocket Recall. Keep an eye on our class schedule to see what is coming up!
Intermediate Manners
We take what you’ve learned in Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Manners and take it up a level to include more distractions, more duration and greater distance. Prerequisite: Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Manners
Wag It Games
If you are looking for something fun to do with your dog and don’t want the competitive nature of some dog sports, then Wag It Games is for you! We play Sniff It, No Need for Speed, Dog Ball and Shadow Skills for fun and enrichment.
Trick Dog!
Are you looking for something fun to do with your dog and teach your dog some new tricks for the holidays? Then the new AKC Trick Dog program is the ticket! We will practice the tricks listed on the AKC Novice and Intermediate levels and will have the test to earn the Title (if you’d like) on the last day of class! Whether you go for a Title or not, this should be a fun class for you and your dog! For details, please visit http://www.akc.org/about-
Canine Good Citizen
Canine Good Citizen prep class gets you ready to take the AKC CGC test. We practice all the test items and work on the elements that you need to practice on. It’s a good idea if you’ve taken a basic obedience class first
Four-Week Clinics, including Loose Leash Walking and Rocket Recall
We offer occasional short four-week clinics on Loose Leash Walking and Rocket Recall as demand is there. Please check our website for current offerings. Or send us an email if you are interested.
Private Training
If you don’t have time to attend group classes then private training might be an option for you. (We still recommend that your pup socialize with other pups at Puppy Socials.) Call to schedule an appointment. 401-714-5652
